Belsey Bridge Craft Retreat Friday 7th September 2012

What a weekend we had, it was a great time had by all.  Both Jeanette and I were a little unsure how the event was going to go.  There was so many missing.  With the loss of Mary and Doreen away, Rita unable to make this one and Peter not well, it was all on us.  The weekend started well as we had a good trip down to Belsey Bridge, it was much easier driving the van when the sun was shinning and the snow wasn't falling.

We soon had the van unpacked the hall set out and the shop displayed.  We had a break at lunch time where we both sat and enjoyed lasagne.  The first guest arrived just after 2pm, we were almost ready, it was really nice that as the guests arrived we were able to greet them all.

It was so nice to see so many familiar faces, everyone has become really good friends.  Seeing everyone and catching up with whats been happening is so nice.

On the first evening which was Friday we used the heart template, and did a beautiful wedding card, with a matching box for it to go into.  We also did a hanging heart bubble, this could go with the card, or used totally seperate.

The lace affect was done by using doilies.  A technique that is getting a little more popular.
