Parchment

I really like doing parchment, but it takes such a long time. I love white work the best, so I enjoyed this project. The outside frame was done using grid No. 20, the butterfly was from grid No. 17, I done two butterflies, then mounted one on top of the other. I punched out the flowers from an EK sucess punch, and shaped them. The leaves were a Marianne Creatables die, which I cut out using my Happy Cuts.  I added gems to the centre of the flowers, and each scallop of the card.

Cards made to Order

I have recently had some cards to make for people, who have requested certain things on them. It's not always as easy as you think making cards, with special themes. But I thought I would share what I came up with.

Firstly, I had to do a graduation card, his nickname is giaraffe, so this is it.

Secondly, a 30th Birthday, with son on it and he is in the fire brigade, so this is it.

Thirdly, an 80th Birthday, name Tony, and an artist, so this is it.

Fourthly, a 1st Birthday, for a grandson who loves Winnie the Pooh, so this is it.

Walk on the Wild Side

This was done as I wanted to do some cards that could be given to a man or a lady. By doing these animal cards you could give them to anyone and for any occasion. They were all nice and easy, but all a little different. They were all printed from a cd - Cupcake Crafting - Walk on the Wild Side.

This elephant one is my favourite, I don't know why, but I do like elephants. It is nice and simple with a little bit of decoupage, a backing and some card candi.

The Zebra, again a nice easy card, just a little twisted pyramage.   And a black pen to do stitching around the outside.

Panda, a little decoupage, some backings, a greeting and card candi, put it all together and another simple card achieved.

The giarraffe was another type of pyramid, with the otter edges decreasing rather than all of it.

Elegant Ladies

This is not my normal type of card, but a saw a stamp and had to have it, well you probably all know that feeling, see a craft item and got to get it, can't wait. Anyway enough of my rambling on. The image was stamped using memento, this was because we were colouring with pro-markers. I used blush and oatmeal for the skin. I used caramel for her hair. I used olive green for the flower stems. I used pastel blue for the fur edge. I used lilac, lavender and amethyst for the flowers and clothing. Add a little glitter onto the fur to give a different effect.

I am really in to 8 x 8 cards at the moment, and I had a thank you card to do, so I put all these factors in and came up with the following.

Now this card is very different for me as I am not a fan of the colour yellow, however Graham is. He would have a yellow car if he could. So when I saw this design from Crafts U Print, I wasn't sure, but when it was put together I actually liked it. Especially after I had added some glitter.

Simple, Quick and Easy

I was asked to have a week with some simple, quick and easy cards, and so I did what Iwas asked.
5 Cards and a box in two and a half hours.
This card was a nice simple decoupage. It was printed from a la pasche cd. Had a nice background and then a easy to cut out decoupage, and a greeting. I though this was suitable for anyone who likes football. It really was easy, as my Samantha, who is not a crafter made it for her dad for his birthday.

These lace cards are just so easy, no cutting with a knife, just fold them back and done. The decoupage in the middle was die cut so even easier.

The book mark card, nice and easy, create a pocket, and a small amount of decoupage, and the sparkle and your done.

The box was made using the Crafters Companion, top score multiboard. The card was cut to 21cm square. The card was then embossed using the Glitter Girls Cosmic Board - layered and flowers and leaves added to the centre.

Special Occasions

There is usually a time when you need to do a special card, and later on in the year I have a 70th Birthday in the family so with this occassion in mind I put this card together. Since then I have also tried it in other colours. Doing one for my mum for her birthday and I have a spare as you never know when you might need one.
